The Federation of Hong Kong Watch Trades & Industries Limited was founded in 1947.  It is supported by companies across the industry comprising of retailing (large and small watch and clock retailers), wholesaling (world-famous-brand representatives), and manufacturing (which comprised of the manufacturing of finished watch and clock as well as parts such as watch case and watch bands, electro-plating, packaging and related periodical). Among its numerous members, there are members from corporation members and individual member from Watch and Clock industry.  Since it was founded, the Federation has obligated to undertake the development and coordination for industrial and commercial trading of the whole industry.  Due to the request  of different policy advisory departments in recent years, the Federation has assigned a number of directors to participate in different committees.  They are all devoted their precious time and experience in order to strive for greater benefit for the industry.  The efforts of the Federation are regarded by general public.

Besides, the Federation has tried its best in organizing different industrial activities for development within the industry.  The main activities in recent years are as follows :

China Horology Federation

In order to better link the trade among Taiwan, P.R.C. and Hong Kong, and for the benefit to our trade's further development. We jointly with Horologe Association of P.R.C., Taiwan Watch & Clock Industrial Association and Hong Kong Watch Manufactures Association to set up China Horology Federation in 1997.  In 2001, the Federation is the chairman of the Allied Association and will continue to carry out different kinds of promotions for the industry.

Asia Horological Trade & The Permanent Honorary President, Dr. Suen Bin Su, Samson is one of the Industry Promotion founders of the Federation.  This conference has been held every two years
Conference for the last 30 years.  Different regions will take turn in organizing the
conference so that the participants have the opportunity to review the past for the
development of the future and further improve our communication and
cooperation.  The Federation had organized this ?sia Horological Trade &
Industry Promotion Conference" in four times, the latest one was in 2000.
